IELTS Listening Sample 16

You will hear a number of different recordings and you have to answer questions on what you hear. There will be time for you to read the instructions and questions and you will have a chance to check your work.

All the recordings will be played once only. The test is in 4 Sections. At the end of the test, you will be given 10 minutes to transfer your answers to an answer sheet.

No doubt they are pronounced almost the same, but there is a difference in the meanings of both words. So whichever makes sense is the right answer.

The answer to the 27th question, I wrote site instead of sight, since both pronounced similar. Will iI be awarded marks for that?

I wrote 'strange taste' and 'small size' in question 13 and 14. Are they right or should they be 'a strange taste' and 'the small size'?

For the answer 32 - the speaker mentioned the singular in the audio recording and you are mentioning both. On the top of that, there is a spelling mistake 'HOUSEWIFES' is wrong because it is the singular which the correct spelling should be HOUSEWIFE. For the plural spelling is HOUSEWIVES.
