Model Answer 1:
Fixed retirement age is a hotly debated issue, and people's opinions are often split when it comes to the right age to part from work. When some recommend a fixed retirement age, which, according to them, is a win-win proposition both for employees and employers, others believe in early retirement facilities. I accord with the latter point of view.

It is undeniable that setting different retirement age for different professions is complex to manage for the government, and it would create discontent among many. That is why a state-wise fixed retirement age is in place in most countries in the world. It not only ensures fairness and equality but maintains the ratio of young and experienced workers' proportion in most sectors.

However, forcing employees to work till a fixed age, like until 65 or 70, is an archaic method that has more demerits than merits. Moreover, letting employee retire early can create job opportunities for fresh-graduates, and this will have a positive impact on the unemployment issue. For instance, many Europeans leave their job before they turn to 60, and as a result, youngsters get job opportunities.

Finally, when people are given free will to retire early, they work more enthusiastically and contribute more to the company they work for. They can also contribute to the local economy by setting up small businesses afterwards which also creates job vacancies. Some retirees travel the world and contribute to tourism industries. So I believe that professionals like architects, nurses, technicians, politicians, military personnel, journalists and teachers should be given choices to retire early. This way, they could enjoy their free time after a career filled with hard work, and can also contribute to the economy and tourism industry.

In conclusion, early retirement options can be beneficial in a tremendous way for the government, employers and employees. It could be a type of appreciation for the great effort of those workers who can fulfil their job objectives pretty accurately during their service years.

Sample Answer 2:
Retirement age is a controversial issue and having a single policy for all professionals is not practical according to many. While some people think that a pre-set retirement age would be helpful both for the government and the citizens, others, often disagree. This essay delves into this issue and gives a brief description of what type of workers would be benefitted from early retirement.

To start with, 65 years as the retirement age seems quite acceptable to many. This is the age when a person becomes physically weak and want to enjoy life without taking extra pressure on the occupation. Moreover, this ensures that the government can plan the retirement scheme for the retirees properly and does not face any problem to support those senior citizens who retired from their jobs.

However, this is not the case in all professions and that is why many disagree with the set departure age. They also say that some professionals should have the freedom to leave their jobs early and enjoy the benefits of early retirements. They express their view on the ground that 65 years is too late and some particular employees who want to enjoy their post-retirement years by travelling or doing something on their own. For instance, many employees dream to travel to different parts of the world after their retirements and if they wait till 65, it becomes physically more challenging. Moreover, people who are in professions like teaching, politics and research have things to contribute even after they are 60. But this is not the case in many professions and they should be given the chance to take early retirements and create opportunities for the new. For instance, an IT professional might want to leave a full-time job when he is 45 and start his own company. If he is forced to work in a company till 65, he would never be able to fulfil his dream and a young graduate would not be able to find a job.

Getting back to the question, who would get advantages from early retirement, I think there are many professionals who can do so. First of all, any doctor can retire from his job and start a private clinic to serve more people at a convenient time. Similarly, the engineers and technicians can leave their job at around 40 and start their own business, travel the world and get involved in innovative works. I think anyone who has a better plan that continuing job after 45  should be able to do so.

To conclude, a set evacuation age is helpful for certain mediocre professions but not for the people who have their own dreams and plans. The government should consider to let employees take early retirement to give chances to the fresh graduates and to let the aged people achieve their aspirations.

Retirement is a crucial period for everybody’s life. Some people believe that they have to leave the job at a certain age, while others believe that it should happen in advance to enjoy the rest of their life. Personally, I completely disagree that there should be a fixed retirement age. Moreover, I believe that people who want to travel extensively or spend more time to pursue their own hobby benefits more from early retirement. People gain lots of exposure in their relevant field before they retire at the threshold age. Firstly, a person’s late retirement creates a lack of jobs opportunity for the younger generation. For instance, government employee retires at the age of 65, and for young, it is very difficult to find a job in that area. Secondly, creativity and innovative ideas are lacking in their jobs because of their long service. Finally, late retirement could introduce medical problems to the employees that should be taken care of by the employer, which is an unnecessary expense for them. Thus waiting till 65 for retirement is not a good idea for most of the professionals.Early retirement has several merits than late retirement. It creates huge job opportunities for young people. After leaving the job, people could spend their time with their family. Moreover, they could utilise the time for doing any social services in their local area. Thus professionals who want to see the world, take part in social causes, or simply want to spend more time with the family and take up some personal hobbies benefits from early retirement. My uncle retired from government service before he turned 57 and he is now running a business that employes more than 20 people. Thus his early retirement is beneficial for not only him but also for others. In conclusion, I believe that people should have the privilege to leave a job at any point of time in their career unless if they are working in government organisations which have a certain age limit. By retiring early, people can enjoy travelling and can even run their own business which eventually benefits others.( Written by - Manickam )

The diversity of professions all around the world is astonishing. From scientists, researchers, doctors and clerks we have drivers, technicians, and security personnel. Every job has policies of when to retire from it. Whether the retirement age should be similar for every workplace or should be different according to the specific type of job is controversial. I believe that the retirement age should not be fixed and it must be decided based on the type of occupation and employees capacity to participate. Some professionals require specific degrees and practical experiences to be hired and to perform well. No doubt that a few of them take 8-9 years to be successfully declared to be efficient in the job. For example, doctors and researchers often need more than a decade to become adept in their jobs. Whereas if we talk about jobs such as working in food franchises, for example, McDonald's, they don't need much education or experience as compared to a doctor. The number of years of hard work and struggle to get a certain job should be kept in mind when setting a retirement age. Thus the retirement age could be determined based on the type of job.I think doctors, engineers and technicians can reap the benefits from their early resignations as they have some skills that they can use even after their retirements. They can set up their own business, assist and train others and can pursue their interests and hobbies this way. My aunt is a surgeon and she retired from her job early. Now she is teaching in a medical college and she has more time to travel extensively and spend with her family. So, I believe early retirement was a blessing for her.To conclude, I will say that work is worship and we should not force people to work to a certain age or to leave early even after they are capable. Thus the retirement age should be defined based on a profession. Moreover, people with technical and special skill can have added benefits by retiring early.
