Sample Answer 1:

Dear Annie,
How are you doing? It’s been a while since we have spoken to each other. I have a good news to share- I will be moving to London to take a new job that I have been offered. I will reach London on 15th of Jan.
As you know, I have never been to London before, so I was hoping if you could help me in finding accommodation. Though my company has arranged a studio apartment for initial 1 week, I will have to vacate the place after that.
My preference would be to live closer to my workplace, which is in central London, as it would save a lot of travelling time and if I could get something near tube station and the marketplace would be great. I am mostly looking for a studio apartment. If studios are not available, I would not mind sharing a flat with a girl. But the apartment should be spacious with good ventilation. My budget is around 500 pound per month. Do you think I will get something in that budget?
Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Sample Answer 2:

Dear Justin,

Hope this letter will find you in good health. I am writing this letter to let you that I got a new job in your city and I would be working with Optus from next month. My joining date is 1st June 2014. As you know I am new to that place so I will seek your help in finding accommodation.

My office is in Macquarie Park Sydney, I shall look for an apartment with a single bedroom. It would be fine if it has attached bathroom and a small kitchen area. My basic requirement is, it should not be much far from my workplace, and 15 to 20 minutes’ walk is ok for me. I would like to live somewhere new, so something in modern apartment block would be great.

I am too worried about the place; therefore please help in searching accommodation.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,

Model Answer 3:

Dear Mr & Mrs John,

I wanted to let you know that I am coming to live in (...the city name...) and I would like to ask if you can help me with a few things before I arrive and start my new job.

Do you think you could give me a hand finding somewhere to live? Ideally, I would like to live close to where I am going to be working, or in the downtown district. If possible I would like to be near some shops, much like a supermarket and a DVD rental place. As I really love sports it would be great to be near a park too.

I’m not too worried about the place itself. Obviously, I will be looking for a flat, rather than a house, as it is just going to be me and I won’t be able to afford too much. So, a place with one bedroom is fine, but I would like to have a private bathroom (not shared), a kitchen and some kind of living room. It doesn’t matter if the kitchen is small, but it would nice to have one. I would prefer to live somewhere new, so anything in a modern apartment block would be great.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely Yours,

Sample Answer 4:

Dear Mr. Y,

Hope you are in the best of health.

As I informed you earlier via email that I will be moving to Saudi Arabia for a new job that I got in a Private company. I will arrive at Riyadh city in two weeks and will require your help to find a suitable accommodation as I have to join the company next month.

I would like to find an accommodation at some distance from my office location which is situated in the city centre as I don’t like to live in a populated area. The location, if possible, should have a park so that I can spend my free time jogging around.

I would like to live in an apartment or flat because it will be a bit cheaper than a bungalow which currently I won’t be able to afford. In the building, there should have the parking facility as I will be buying a car next month. Finally, I would like the building to have an indoor sports club to play sports during weekends.

I am sure you will help me out to find a good accommodation so that I can settle down quickly.

Best Regards,
