You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you that I wish to move into a new accommodation next term, preferably in a single room, as I find my current sharing arrangement quite inconvenient. My roommate has made it harder for me to concentrate on my studies and I am hoping you would help me sort it out.

Due to my roommate’s inconsiderate behaviour, I find it troublesome to live in my room, let alone study properly. For one thing, he has friends visiting him every single day, for another, he regularly holds parties and listens to music loudly. In addition, he often borrows my belongings without my permission. A few days ago he took a book from my desk and lost it which I borrowed from the college library. Due to his irrational behaviours, I find it challenging to concentrate on my studies and live peacefully.

I am expecting your help to move into a room of my own, where I will be free from such distractions. I would be grateful if you could find a single room for me near the college campus from the beginning of next term. I will be always indebted to you.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Heer

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request you to allow me to move into another room, preferably to a single room, from next term as I find my current accommodation arrangement quite inconvenient.

I enrolled in the B. Tech course in your college last January and currently sharing my room, 308, with a fellow mate who is also pursuing the same course. My roommate brings his friends almost every day and holds frequent parties. It not only hinders my studies but also breaches my privacy. He often borrows my things without asking and he even lost a valuable item last month. His activities are not friendly and I find it hard to concentrate on my studies due to his irrational behaviours.

My father, despite his financial crunch, did arrange for my higher studies in this reputed college. It is my moral responsibility not to lose sight of the dreams which have been conceived in the eyes of my parents. The latest incident wherein he borrowed my laptop without my permission forced me to bring these issues to your attention.

In view of all these undesirable and uncomfortable situations, I once again humbly request you to allow me a new room next term, preferably a single room.

Yours faithfully,

Kim Neeraj

Model Answer 3:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and dilemmas with the current accommodation arrangement I have at my college. My roommate's absurd activities are negatively affecting my studies and I would like to move into a single room next term which completely depends on your kind permission.

Although my current room is nice to live in with proper amenities, I am not satisfied with the irrational attitude and carelessness of my housemate. He has an antipathy towards cleaning the room. Moreover, he has a big social circle and invites friends to the room on a regular basis. They listen to loud music, sometimes hold parties and play computer games which create a commotion that disturbs me and interrupts my studies. Furthermore, he has a tendency to use my personal belongings without my permission. In the last few months, I have lost some of my valuables from the room and I am not sure who should I blame!

I would like to live in a single room so that I can have freedom of work and study. My final exam is approaching and I want to prepare for it without any interference. I hope you would be kind enough to understand my issues related to my roommate and would arrange a new room next semester.

I hope to hear a positive response from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Fahad Sultan

Model Answer 4:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my utter dissatisfaction with my current college accommodation, mainly due to my housemate's absurd routine that severely disrupts my studies. I am hoping you would kindly allow me to move into a single room next term so that I can study properly and live harmoniously.

As you know, I stay in room 625 with a roommate in our college's science block. The room is nice and spacious. However, my roommate has a wide social circle and he invites visitors almost daily, which makes the room overcrowded. Besides, he holds parties now and then, which often last till midnight or early morning. This makes it impossible for me to focus on my studies. To make the situation worse, he uses my belonging even without asking and often damages them.

I hope this matter will receive your immediate attention as it is seriously hampering my studies. I would appreciate it if you could arrange a single room for me from the beginning of the next semester as I have a habit of studying in a silent atmosphere.

Thanking you in advance for your kind cooperation. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction to stay with my current roommate at our college hostel. I am Renit Prateek and studying B.Com at your college. I have been living at our college hostel for more than a year, but as soon as the new roommate stepped in, a plethora of problems started to emerge.

My roommate is noisy and keeps a wide circle of friends who often come to visit him in our hostel room. They have frequent late-night parties where they play loud music and play games whereas I lose my sleep and personal space. It is so difficult to concentrate on studies when other people are having a party in the same room.

Next month I have my term final exam but due to these problems created by my roommate, I am unable to concentrate well on my studies. I have talked to him personally and explained how his actions are creating a nuisance for me. But it all fell on deaf ears.

To make the gravity of the situation more hurtful, he borrows my personal belonging like the table lamp, wristwatch, books, sunglasses and so on without even notifying me. This is getting more fussy day by day.

Considering all aspects of my current accommodation arrangements, I would like to request you to kindly arrange a single room for me as soon as possible. It will help me concentrate on my studies, have personal space and peace of mind.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Renit Prateek

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with the accommodation that I share with my roommate. I am facing severe problems and I hope you will help me out of this issue.

As you are aware we have only one room in our current accommodation and my roommate have friends and relatives very often. This makes me uncomfortable and also disturbs my studies. This place has become the meeting spot for all the students on our campus and it has no privacy or favourable environment for studies. Moreover, my roommate arranges parties in the room frequently and the party goes on till early morning! With loud music playing all night, I find it difficult to sleep. Due to this, my health condition has deteriorated and I'm unable to concentrate on my studies.

I would like to request you to kindly arrange a separate room for me, possibly a single occupancy, so that I can focus on my studies.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing to request a single occupancy room in the college's boys hostel as I am facing numerous problems with the shared accommodation system that I have now.

Currently, I am a third-year Btech student and I have been allocated a room (Number 301) with another third-year pharmacy student. This room is very small and my roommate has many friends visiting him who often stay the night. I have no problem with occasional visits of people but I have to bear new faces daily in my room which causes space and privacy issues for me. Also, there are frequent parties in the room and that hinders my evening or late night studies. Also, he and his fellow mates use my personal things without even asking me! This is irritating and sometimes spoils my mood for hours.

As you are aware, our semester final examinations are approaching, so, I need to work hard in order to secure good grades. I do not want to mess up with such issues. I hope you will concur with my explanation of the room change. Apparently, it does not look like a moot problem but I analyzed and found that a change of place is very necessary for me to concentrate on my studies.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully

Dear sir or madam,I am writing you to express my discontent and difficulties about my roommate and wish to shift to another accommodation in the next term. The main reason for this request is that I need to have some space for studying. My roommate has too many friends who visit her every day and she often throws parties. They speak and listen to music loudly and have conversations for a long. I have tried to explain my problems to my roommate and hoped that she would change, but it never happened and in fact, things are becoming worse day by day. I have only 2 months left for my final exam and I mostly go to the library to study, but this is not enough.I understand that the college has limited room availability, but I do sincerely hope that you could consider my request. I have no issue in sharing room with anyone, as long as she is reasonable and have a good attitude.I hope to hear from you soon and sorry for any inconvenient caused.Yours faithfully,Grac e.
