There are two tasks in the Academic Writing Test – Task 1 and Task 2.

In Academic Writing Task 1, all candidates are asked to describe information presented in a graph, table, chart, diagram, and so on. Candidates are required to write at least 150 words for this task.

On the other hand, Writing Task 2 requires a candidate to write an academic essay on a given topic. Ideas presented in the essay should be supported by evidence and examples. Responses must be at least 250 words in length.
