The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart compares the top ten countries in terms of their electricity production and consumption in 2014.
Overall, the figures show a clear correlation between production and usage, with most nations generating slightly more electricity than they consume. China and the United States dominated both categories, while the Republic of Korea was at the bottom of the list.
In detail, China topped the list with nearly 5,400 billion kWh of electricity yield and roughly the same amount of utilisation in 2014. The United States ranked second, producing around 4,100 billion kWh and using about 3,800 billion kWh. These two countries alone accounted for a significantly higher output than all other nations on the list.
The next group of countries, i.e. Russia, Japan, India and Canada, produced a moderate amount of electricity with moderate consumption. Russia produced slightly more than 1,000 billion kWh and consumed almost the entire amount. Japan, India and Canada, on the other hand, generated between 600 and 900 billion kWh, and their usages were approximately 850, 700, and 500 billion kWh, respectively.
France, Brazil and Germany, ranked from seventh to ninth, each producing around 500 billion kWh. In all cases, production exceeded consumption slightly, except for Germany, which used marginally more electricity than it produced. The Republic of Korea was at the bottom of this list with 485 kWh of electricity production and almost the same amount of consumption.
