My youngest uncle (from my father’s side) has a “reputation” (!) for being a “stingy” person, so naturally, I was very surprised when he bought a “winter jacket” for me as a “gift” by paying a fortune during last winter. Needless to say, I really liked the gift!

A gift from my uncle was long overdue because my uncle wanted to surprise me with a gift of his choice as I managed to pass my undergraduate degree with really good grades a couple of years ago. But, I knew very well that I would have to wait a long – I mean, a really long time - to get a “surprise” gift from my uncle, and I was so right about that because I had to wait a long one year! But it is better late than never as he did buy me a nice gift.

The jacket was of a very attractive light yellow colour with a light navy blue stripe all over. The outer layer of the jacket was made from some tightly but very evenly oven, high-quality synthetic materials with a hydrophobic coating to allow water vapour to pass out into the atmosphere, while also blocking outside moisture from getting in at the same time. The jacket, with thick fur inside, was waist-length and also had a high and round neck collar to cover the area between the mouth and neck completely.

It felt so good after getting such a nice gift from my “stingy” uncle that I thanked him immediately. The jacket fit me perfectly well as it had the perfect length and body measure. It was such a light jacket that I felt like I was wearing nothing while putting it on. Besides, I found the colour of my jacket to be unique because I can’t really remember seeing such a colour on any clothing. Finally, of course, the jacket was really warm and comfortable to wear even during a very harsh winter.

Introduction:
For this great topic, I'd like to talk about a special item of clothing that was bought for me by my grandmother on my 18th birthday. It holds sentimental value for me as it represents her love and thoughtfulness in selecting a meaningful gift for my milestone birthday.

What it was:
The item of clothing my grandmother bought for me was a cosy, knitted sweater. It was a soft shade of lavender, with delicate floral patterns woven into the fabric. The sweater had a classic V-neck design and long sleeves, perfect for keeping me warm during chilly evenings.

Who bought it for you and why:
My grandmother, whom I affectionately call "Nana," bought me the sweater as a birthday gift. She knows how much I love comfortable and stylish clothing, especially during the colder months. It was her way of celebrating my transition into adulthood and expressing her love and pride in me.

What it looked like:
The lavender sweater was simply beautiful. The intricate floral patterns added a touch of elegance to its design, and the softness of the fabric made it incredibly cosy to wear. The colour complemented my complexion, and the fit was just perfect, accentuating my figure without being too tight or too loose.

And explain how you felt about this item of clothing:
Receiving the sweater from my grandmother meant a lot to me. It was more than just a piece of clothing; it was a tangible symbol of her affection and thoughtfulness. Every time I wear the sweater, I'm reminded of her warmth and love, which brings a smile to my face. Moreover, the sweater is incredibly comfortable and versatile, making it a staple in my wardrobe. It's not just a fashion statement; it's a cherished memento that I will treasure for years to come.
