Describe a country you would like to visit.
You should say:
- which country it is
- what you already know about this country
- when you want to visit this country
and explain why you want to visit this country.

Model Answer 1:
In my inquisitive mind, I want to visit every single country in the world, but it is not possible as I don’t have a limitless flow of money or all the time in the world to fulfil this wish. So, bringing my expectations to a practical level, I have plans to visit at least 5 to 6 countries in the next couple of years, and Switzerland stands at the top of this wish list.
Switzerland is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and I marvel at the sheer beauty of the wide-green fields and snow-capped mountains that I have seen on TV or in magazines. I have a school friend who lives there with her family and it was her who stirred my interests in this country. I have heard about her skiing on the mountain slopes, exciting experiences in the countryside, and experimenting with different cuisines. Even though those are just stories and experiences, it ignited my imagination on how beautiful the country would be and how much I would enjoy exploring it.
I’ll visit Switzerland sometime in the middle of the next year if everything goes according to my plan. I have already shared my ideas with my parents and they would be okay with me travelling there with one of my close friends. So, I will possibly visit this country which is famous for its celestial beauty, delicious chocolates and finest watch, with Elizabeth, who also wants to visit Switzerland with me.
I believe visiting Switzerland would be once in a lifetime experience for me. It will offer exciting and exhilarating adventures while also materialising my dreams. I’ve also heard a lot about high-quality Swiss watches and the punctuality of Swiss people, which I would like to witness myself. I would also like to enjoy beautiful landscapes, culture, foods and things in their way while in Switzerland.

People love to travel to new countries or regions to experience new places, cultures and ways of life. I like travelling and exploring a lot, and I would like to visit China - a truly marvellous country. Here, I will tell you what I already know about this country, when I am planning to travel there and explain why I would like to visit China.
China is well known for its diverse culture and the fascinating history of its civilisation. The country has many historical places that I want to visit. The Great Wall of China - one of the Seven Wonders of the World makes China so popular among tourists and I would like to visit there. It is the longest man-made structure that was ever built, and some people claim that astronauts could see the wall with the naked eye from the shuttle spaceship.
China also has a lot of beautiful landscapes, such as mountains, hills and valleys which are well known for their purity and originality. China is also famous for its unique and exotic animal - Panda. Moreover, the country is also famous for its cuisine. There are various types of food in China that one can enjoy.
I am planning to visit this great county in the middle of November. If everything goes according to my plan, I will stay there for two weeks.
I am looking forward to visiting China as this is truly a unique country that has many things to offer to its visitors ranging from visiting the historical places, seeing some unique animals and enjoying some of the beautiful panoramic places. But perhaps what I would like to witness once I am in China is the rapid development this country has gone through in recent times. I have heard that it is a modern, unique and culturally diverse county and I would like to go to China to witness it all.

I love to travel and in my opinion, this enhances my experience and gives me some true pictures of the cultural diversity of the world. As a university student, I can't travel a lot but I am sure I will have a chance to do it in the future to see the world. So, if I have the opportunity to visit a foreign country soon, I would visit Egypt. I think it is a very interesting country with a marvellous history.
I have always dreamt of visiting pyramids and learning more about them. My aunt visited Egypt a few months ago. She was very excited after that trip and said that she would return there one more time at any cost. She said that Egypt had impressed her very much with its glorious pyramids and ancient buildings. After listening to her stories, I also feel fascinated about visiting this country.
What is Egypt known for? Well, the Pyramids, the Sahara Desert, and the Nile River are some of its famous landmarks. It has a stature for its ancient ruins, historical sites, and world-wonder locations. Additionally, it is renowned for its stunning beaches, coral reefs, and sea excursions.
I am afraid that I will not be able to travel for the next two years due to my academic studies and exams. So, I would like to visit this country as soon as I get the chance which would probably be after completing my university education.
I want to visit Egypt because I think that in Egypt one can touch history, feel the hard breath of workers building a pyramid under the parching sun, and see the chain of camels walking in the desert with huge trunks full of presents for Cleopatra on their humps. Finally, I want to see a real dessert and ride the camel. All my friends who rode the camel said that it is an unforgettable experience and Egypt has it all to offer to its visitors.
