Describe a country you would like to visit.
You should say:
- which country it is
- what you already know about this country
- when you want to visit this country
and explain why you want to visit this country.

Model Answer 1:
In my inquisitive mind, I want to visit every single country in the world, but it is not possible as I don’t have a limitless flow of money or all the time in the world to fulfil this wish. So, bringing my expectations to a practical level, I have plans to visit at least 5 to 6 countries in the next couple of years, and Switzerland stands at the top of this wish list.
Switzerland is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and I marvel at the sheer beauty of the wide-green fields and snow-capped mountains that I have seen on TV or in magazines. I have a school friend who lives there with her family, and it was she who stirred my interest in this country. I have heard about her skiing on the mountain slopes, exciting experiences in the countryside, and experimenting with different cuisines. Even though those are just stories and experiences, they ignited my imagination on how beautiful the country would be and how much I would enjoy exploring it.
I’ll visit Switzerland sometime in the middle of the next year if everything goes according to my plan. I have already shared my ideas with my parents, and they would be okay with me travelling there with one of my close friends. So, I will possibly visit this country which is famous for its celestial beauty, delicious chocolates and finest watch, with Elizabeth, who also wants to visit Switzerland with me.
I believe visiting Switzerland would be once in a lifetime experience for me. It will offer exciting and exhilarating adventures while also materialising my dreams. I’ve also heard a lot about high-quality Swiss watches and the punctuality of Swiss people, which I would like to witness myself. I would also like to enjoy beautiful landscapes, culture, foods and things in their way while in Switzerland.

One country that has always captivated my imagination with its pristine beauty and unique charm is the Maldives. Nestled in the heart of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is renowned for its paradisiacal islands, azure waters, and vibrant marine life. So whenever I get a chance to visit a foreign country, I will go to this great country.
My fascination with the Maldives stems from the wealth of information I've gathered about its breathtaking landscapes and distinctive culture. The Maldives is an archipelago comprising over 1,000 coral islands, each adorned with powdery white beaches and surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters. Additionally, the country is famous for its overwater bungalows, where guests can indulge in luxury while being immersed in the beauty of the ocean.
The dream of visiting the Maldives is not a distant one; I envision making this journey within the next couple of years. Ideally, I would choose a time when the weather is optimal to appreciate the natural splendours, such as the calm seas for snorkelling and the clear skies for stargazing.
The allure of the Maldives lies not only in its breathtaking scenery but also in the unique experiences it offers. From exploring vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life to savouring local cuisine on a secluded beach, the Maldives promises a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Furthermore, the Maldivian culture, influenced by its seafaring history and Islamic traditions, adds an enriching layer to the travel experience.

Many people love to travel to new countries or cities to experience the beauty of new places, experience the local culture and witness the ways of life. I also like travelling and exploring new places, and I would like to visit China - a truly marvellous country. Here, I will tell you what I already know about this country, when I plan to travel to this country and explain why I would like to visit China.
China is well known for its diverse culture and the fascinating history of its civilisation. The Great Wall of China - one of the Seven Wonders of the World, makes China a popular destination among tourists. It is the longest man-made structure that is ever built, and some people claim that astronauts can see the wall with the naked eye from the spaceship! China also has a lot of beautiful landscapes, such as mountains, hills and valleys which are well known for their purity and originality. I should also mention that China is famous for its unique and exotic animal - Panda. Finally, some authentic cuisines and local foods that China offers to its visitors are worth mentioning.
I am planning to visit this great country in the middle of November this year. If everything goes according to my plan, I will stay there for two weeks.
I am looking forward to visiting China as this is truly a unique country that has many things to offer to its visitors, ranging from historical places, unique animals, authentic cuisines, beautiful panoramic places and so on. But perhaps what I would like to witness first once I am in China is the rapid development this country has gone through in recent times. I have heard that it is a modern, unique and culturally diverse country, and I would like to go to China to witness it all.

I love to travel, and in my opinion, this enhances my experience and gives me some idea about the cultural diversity of the world. As a university student, I can't travel a lot, but I am sure I'll have a chance to do it in the future to see the world. So, if get the opportunity to visit a foreign country soon, I will visit Egypt. I think it is a fascinating country with a marvellous history.
I have always dreamt of visiting pyramids and learning more about them. My aunt visited Egypt a few months ago. She was very excited after that trip and said that she would return there one more time at any cost. She said that Egypt had impressed her with its glorious pyramids and ancient buildings. After listening to her stories, I also feel fascinated about visiting this country.
What is Egypt known for? Well, the Pyramids, the Sahara Desert, and the Nile River are some of its famous landmarks. It has a stature for its ancient ruins, historical sites, and world-wonder locations. Additionally, it is renowned for its stunning beaches, coral reefs, and sea excursions.
I am afraid that I will not be able to travel for the next two years due to my academic studies and exams. So, I would like to visit this country as soon as I get the chance which would probably be after completing my university education.
I want to visit Egypt because I think that in Egypt one can touch history, feel the hard breath of workers building a pyramid under the parching sun, and see the chain of camels walking in the desert with huge trunks full of presents for Cleopatra on their humps. Finally, I want to see a real dessert and ride the camel. All my friends who rode the camel said that it was an unforgettable experience and Egypt has it all to offer to its visitors.
