IELTS Speaking Part 2: IELTS Cue Card/ Candidate Task Card.
[The topic for your talk will be written on a card which the examiner will hand over to you. Read it carefully and then make some brief notes.]
Describe something you have planned to do but have not done yet.
You should say:
- what it is
- when you planned it
- what you would require to do it
and explain how difficult it would be for you to do it.
[Instruction: You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.]

Model Answer 1:
When I was growing up as a child, I planned to do a lot of things, and my grandparents jokingly used to tell me that I was planning too many things. One such plan was to buy an aircraft and fly all over the world.
Of course, later in my life, when I became a bit older, like 12/13 years old, probably, I realized that it would take me about a couple of hundred years of savings to follow through with my plan to buy an aircraft and that too if I buy the cheapest one. So, I altogether gave up on my plan to buy a cheap aircraft and settled for a nice car, instead.
So, you can say that I am planning to buy a nice car for the last 18/19 years, considering that I am 30/31 years of age now, but unfortunately, I still haven’t succeeded in doing that, not because I am not earning enough, but because I have to spend my savings in doing other important things – things like helping my father to have his heart surgery, and donating to some local charity foundations trying to help the poor and needy people of my country.
But, I am not running out of my patience because all I would need to do is to save a bit more money than what I am currently doing. But, even if that is not enough to help me save enough to buy a nice car in the next few years since they are becoming more and more expensive every year, I would probably have to get a car loan from a bank as the last resort which I have tried to avoid thus far.
So, I guess, it is not exactly going to be that easy to do what I plan to do – to buy a car, that is – unless I manage to save enough money. On top of that, if cars become more expensive because of changes in tax regulations, and if I don’t get a car loan, I don’t think that I would be able to buy my dream car in the foreseeable future.

Introduction & What it is:
I've always been passionate about travelling and exploring new places, and I've always wanted to share my experiences with others. One of the things that I've planned to do for a long time now is to start a YouTube channel where I can document my travels and share them with others. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get around to doing it yet.
When you planned it:
I've been planning to start this YouTube channel for the last couple of years. Whenever I travel, I take lots of pictures and videos, and I have always thought that it would be a great idea to share them with others.
What you would require to do it:
To start a successful YouTube channel, I would need to have a good camera, a microphone, a laptop, and video editing software. I would also need to do some research on how to create engaging content and how to grow my audience. I think I already have most of these, all I need is to have a solid determination to start doing it!
How difficult it would be for you to do it:
Starting a YouTube channel can be quite challenging, especially if you are new to it. Creating high-quality content that people will enjoy watching can take a lot of time and effort. Growing your audience can also be difficult, as there is a lot of competition out there. However, I believe that if I put in the time and effort, I can create a successful channel that people will enjoy watching. While it may be challenging, I believe that with the right equipment and effort, I can create engaging content and build a following. I hope that someday soon, I can finally turn this plan into a reality.
