Model Answer 1:
In today’s modern world, the world’s population has risen continually until it has become the biggest problem faced by humanity. The essay will examine the reasons for this rise.

Global population has increased considerably may be due to several causes. To begin, increased life expectancy in the twenty-first century allows people nowadays to live longer. A recent research has shown that people these days are more long-lived than people in the past. This may be mainly due to the advanced technology used in medical fields which are able to cure and prevent the diseases that are previously untreatable. On the other hand, people these days are more educated which allows them to secure a decent position in a company with a high paid. In other words, they have no financial problems and therefore able to have more children.

I agree that the continued rise in global population is the largest problem faced by government. This is because people live in the third world countries may be facing problems like poverty. There may be no sufficient resources to meet their demands which may eventually lead to more starvation. Besides, the increased global population will probably cause the disease to spread easily. The more crowded the population is, the more easily spread the disease, especially those air-borne diseases.

In conclusion, the increase in the world’s population is caused by numerous factors and I strongly agree that it is the biggest problem we are facing now. However, I believe there are a handful of possible measures which the governments can take to tackle this problem and mitigate against the possible negative impacts on our lives.

The rise in the global population is highly alarming and more than 7 billion population in the world is far more than the mother Earth can accommodate. Some people assume that the continued addition in the world’s population is the biggest problem faced by humanity. I agree with this statement to a certain extent as I believe some people may find other problems to be the more pressing faced by the human. In my opinion, the reason that leads to this continued overpopulation is the ill cultural practice and illiteracy. In the past, people's perception was 'more offspring they have, the better the family is'. Their mindset has always been old fashioned and they thought that a boy is more valuable than a girl. If their first offspring was a baby girl, they would continue to give birth until they get a boy. Although it is an old-fashioned mindset, many parents still have this type of mentality. The lack of proper education and unplanned family planning have also contributed to the outburst of the population. Another reason which has led to this situation is some governments' policy to subsidise low-income level families to give birth of more children, especially countries like China and Japan. Apart from that, advanced medical treatment, better healthcare and improved medical technology have enhanced our life expectancy. Nonetheless, from my point of view, this is not the greatest problem faced by humanity at the present moment. The other biggest problem which is faced by the people is the hiking of unemployment rate. This issue is not a new issue as it has been the headline in many newspapers and magazines for innumerable times. The threat of nuclear war, political and economic crisis and global warming are not less threating than the increasing population. In conclusion, it could not be denied that one of the biggest problems faced by humanity at the present time is the ever increasing world population. However, unemployment, crime, global warming, nuclear war, and political crisis are also squeezing issues for the humanity.
