Model Essay 1:
In order to cultivate children's intellectual development, a growing number of parents spend money on purchasing different toys for their children. According to an official survey, children's educational toys can allow their cognitive development to be effective and faster. The following paragraphs are going to discuss the pros and cons for children having lots of playthings or toys.

Apparently, providing a wider range of toys to children to play with can benefit their psychological developments. The best toys engage a child's senses, spark their imaginations and encourage them to interact with others. For example, Lego blocks can help preschoolers to learn letters, numbers and languages skills. Moreover, it can improve their communication skill as well when they play with other kids. As everyone knows, communication plays an essential role in our life and the toys can help them have playmates with whom they communicate a lot. Finally, some toys are made for children's educational purposes. For example, blocks, educational computer games, puzzles etc. ignite the creativity of children and let them find out their interests.

Nevertheless, other people propose that the argument above is merely a one sided story as children having too many playthings become greedy. For instance, many parents spoil their children by purchasing every toy the children want. Afterwards, those children will have a strong desire to acquire more toys. Moreover, those toys need a plenty of money and wasting is an evil act. Furthermore, too many toys may grow a conformist mentality in a child as they are immature to distinguish the good from the bad and they just follow other children's playing style, activity and characters. Finally, if a child gets every toy he wants, he will not value most of the toys and lose his interests on a toy and would like to have a new toy. Thus the true need of toys is misused by purchasing a lot of toys to the children.

In conclusion, toys play an important role in helping a child's growth but too many toys affect children's psychological development negatively. Thus parents should lead them in a proper way and purchase a reasonable number of toys that they would feel right for their children.

Personally, I am totally convinced that purchasing a great number of toys frequently spoils the child's character. It means they become more greedy and they want more and more toys. Therefore, parents have to be reasonably whilst they want to buy toys for their children. It's tremendously important to buy them toys but not so often. There is no doubt that by playing with toys children learn to communicate with their peers and it helps to develop cognitive skills, ameliorate intellectual abilities and spark their imagination. Besides, playing with toys has an essential impact on a child's personality. But, it an infant gets more and more toys preferred every time, in this case, it will spoil her or him.

To keep children active and happy, most parents buy them toys more than what they need. However, this trend has gained momentum due to multifarious reasons for buying a larger number of toys for children. This trend has both pros and cons. The succeeding paragraphs weigh out both advantages and disadvantages with examples.

The virtues bestowed by buying many toys to children are plenty. The most remarkable merit of which is that it helps develop children's senses and sparks imagination besides encouraging them to interact with others. There are innumerable cases that stand indisputable testimony to what has been claimed here. At this juncture, citing an example will strengthen the claim made here as if we take "Lego" toys, it helps children to learn the numbers and language skills before they enter the school. Likewise, there are many other games which empower a child's cognitive development such as puzzles, educational computer games, blocks etc.

On the contrary, the potential drawback involved in buying a greater number of toys is it makes them greedy. At this moment exemplifying an example would be apt as parents sometimes spoil their children by buying them the toys whenever they want. If we buy toys every time our children ask for it, it would make them greedy on buying new things, and moreover, this leads to a wastage of money. This makes a child grow with a conformist mentality which is very harmful to their future. Finally, if a child gets new toys every couple of days or weeks, he or she will lose interests and learn very little from playing with them.

All in all, I would like to conclude by saying that buying a huge number of toys to children would give them a wrong message and harm their future. Likewise, buying them selected toys which would encourage them in learning, will help them in growing - both physically and mentally.
