Fertility Rate (births per woman) in Gulf Countries, 1990-2000
Fertility rate of women of different Gulf Countries

Sample Answer 1:
The provided bar graph compares the fertility rates of women in 6 different Gulf countries between 1990 and 2000. The fertility rate of those women was compared in two different years with a gap of 10 years - 1990 and 2000. As is evident in the bar graph, the fertility rates declined over the decade in all the countries and women in Oman and Saudi Arabia had higher fertility rates than the women in other four countries.

In 1990, the fertility rate for each woman in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and UAE was on an average between 3 to 4.  However, this figures reduced to 2-3 by the year 2000. On the other hand, Omani and Saudi Arabian women had the highest fertility rates during both of the years. Oman had the largest number of childbirths per thousand woman, which was 7 in 1990 and just above 5 in 2000. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia remained in the second position with relatively a higher fertility rate. It is quite obvious to notice that the fertility rate of women in all these Gulf countries reduced in 2000 than it was 10 years earlier.

To summarise, even though there was a decrease in the women fertility rates, Oman and Saudi Arabian women continued to show a fairly higher fertility rate among the women in these 6 Gulf countries.

Sample Answer 2
The given bar chart compares the fertility rates of women from six Gulf countries in 1990 and 2000. As is observed from the given data, the fertility rate has decreased over the decade and women of Oman and Saudi Arabia had a higher fertility rate than women of other Gulf countries.

According to the bar graph, initially in 1990, the fertility rates (childbirth per thousand women of a certain age range) in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE were from 3-4. Women from Oman and Saudi Arabia had a fertility rate of more than 6 in this same year. After ten years, this rate reduced in all of the given 6 countries. This indicates the less fertility rate of the women of the Gulf countries. The declination maintained a radio for each country and in the year 2000, the women from Oman and Saudi Arabia had a higher fertility rate than the women in other four Gulf countries.

In summary, the childbirth per thousand women, which is also known as the fertility rate, in the Gulf countries decreased over the time.

Sample Answer 3:
The bar chart compares the number of births per thousand women in six different Arabian countries between 1990 and 2000, with a gap of 10 years. Overall, there was a noticeable drop in the fertility rate of women in all these six nations over the period, and the remarkable drop was recorded in Oman. However, the birth rate was comparatively higher in Oman compared to other nations in the survey throughout the period.

It is clear that though the fertility rate per women in Oman decreased from 7 to just above 5 in 1990, Oman remained to record the highest fertility rate among other nations followed by Saudi Arabia over a period of 10 years. The figures for childbirth per thousand women in Saudi Arabia was above 6 in 1990, which dropped to well over to 5 in 2000. Noticeably when Qatar and UAE registered almost an equal 4 births per thousand women in the initial year of the survey, Bahrain and Kuwait showed a fertility rate between 3 to 4. By contrast, after 10 years, both the nations experienced a similar falling trend in the fertility rates of their women to roughly an equal 3 and just above 2 respectively.

The given bar graph provides the differences in the fertility rates of women from 1990 to 2000 in Gulf Countries.

Overall, the fertility rates in those Gulf countries were higher in 1990 than a decade later. Oman experienced the highest fertility rate while Bahrain showed a low point. At the same time, Oman and S. Arabia had the same level of fertility - opposite to Bahrain and Kuwait, which presented a low level.

It could be plainly viewed that in 1990, fertility had its highest point than in 2000 in six countries represented on the graph. The highest point showed by Oman in 1990 had 7 childbirths per woman. Ten years later the fertility rate of women decreased almost to five in Oman. Despite that, S. Arabia's fertility rate was slightly lower than Oman's in 1990, but after ten years both countries became equal when it comes to childbirth by women in these two countries.

According to the bar graph, the lowest fertility rate was in Bahrain both in 1990 and 2000. Its rate decreased from something about 3.5 to almost 2.5 almost the same as it was in Kuwait.

The bar graph illustrates the fertility rates of women in 6 countries over the 10 years - from 1990 to 2000. It can be noticed that childbirth in Oman and Saudi Arabia was higher and women in these countries gave birth to fewer children in 2000 than that of 1990. In 1990, females in Oman had the highest fertility rate that reached as high as 7, followed by Saudi Arabia with a childbirth rate of 6.5. The remaining 4 countries - the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, had the childbirth rate, below 5. Bahrain had the lowest baby birth rate of 2.5. After a decade, the childbirth rate in these countries declined. The birth rate in Oman fell from 7 to 5.5 and In Saudi Arabia, it decreased to 5.5 from the previous rate 6.8. The same trend could be observed in other Gulf countries. While per thousand Qataris women gave birth to over 3 babies, the rate was below 3 in Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE. The lowest childbirth rate could be noticed in Bahrain in 2000 than the remaining Gulf countries.

I don't think this definition is correct. Please mention your source. As I searched online, I found that ---The fertility rate is the births per 1000 women, categorized according to a specific composition of mothers in the population: (1) Crude birth rate: number of live births per 1000 of population. (2) General fertility rate: number of live births per 1000 women between the ages of 15 and 44 years.

If you do a little Googling, you will find that the definition of fertility rate is as following: "Fertility rate is generally expressed as the number of births per 1,000 women aged 15-44 in a calendar year."

Please, check misunderstandin g in fertility rate definition. "Total fertility rate represents the number of children that would be born to a woman if she were to live to the end of her childbearing years and bear children in accordance with current age-specific fertility rates."
Xiazhaoqi
Sorry, I don't really understand the chart/ bar. Well, how per woman in 1 year can produce 2-7 children? Please make me understand, thanks!
Jibinees
It is not per woman; rather it is the birth rate: meaning 3-4 child-birth from average 1000 women ( considering a certain age group).
