Percentage of female employees 1990-2015
The column graph compares the ratio of females in three job segments in Greece from 1990 to 2015, over a span of 25 years. Overall, the percentages of women employees in these sectors skyrocketed and in customer service, there were more women than men in Greece in 2015.
According to the diagram, roughly nineteen out of twenty call centre employees were men in 1990. This huge gap between men and women staffs in call centres remained unchanged in the next decade. However, the female labours in this sector kept on increasing and reached over 30% in 2010. Finally, in 2015, almost half of the call centre workers were female.
A similar trend could be observed in finance and customer care sectors. Approximately 9 out of 10 employees in these two sectors were male employees from 1990 to 2000. However, women participation in these jobs kept on increasing from 2005. In 20215, nearly 35% Greece women worked in banking and finance sector. It is worth noticing that the ratio of female employees in customer service in 2015 was slightly higher than that of male employees.
