Candidate Task Card

In part 2 of the IELTS speaking test, you will be given a task card on a particular topic (also known as candidate task card or cue card). This topic also includes 4 questions or key points that you should talk about.

The examiner will give you a pencil and paper to make notes and he/she will allow you a minute for the preparation. You then need to talk for one to two minutes. This Candidate Task Card part of the Speaking test lasts for 3-4 minutes.
